Street Child World Cup Sweepstake

The Street Child World Cup is a football tournament and conference taking place in Rio de Janeiro in March. Teams of kids from all over the world will take part, and to help raise money for the charity, commercials director David Mills is holding a sweepstake within the UK ad industry. Read on to find out more about taking part…

The SCWC tournament and conference will take place over ten days from March 28. Its purpose is to both raise money and also challenge the negative perceptions and treatment of street children in Rio and across the world.

A group of professional filmmakers have volunteered to travel to Rio to create daily ‘Match of the Day’ highlights of all the games for the Street Child World Cup YouTube channel, and will also create films about the conference. One of the filmmakers, David Mills, has decided to run a sweepstake too, to raise money for the charity.

The sweepstake will take place between UK ad agencies and production companies, with every penny raised going towards the SCWC charity. Tickets are £100 per entry, and entrants will be able to follow their team’s progress via the charity’s YouTube channel updates.

Prizes are to be confirmed but it looks like some fancy booze may be on the cards. There will also be the pleasure of seeing your team triumph over that of your peers, and, most importantly of course, every entrant will be helping the Street Child World Cup charity.

To sign up for the sweepstake, contact David Mills on davidthomasmills99@gmail.com. For more information on the Street Child World Cup charity, visit streetchildworldcup.org.
