In January we were excited to share the case study for ECOtality’s Blink, a new line of electric vehicle chargers designed by frog. The 2011 IDEA Award Bronze-winning design is now out in the field with over 1,200 charging stations installed since December 2010 and 1000 new stations planned in the coming year for Washington State alone. As Howard Nuk, frog Creative Director explains in a recent followup:

Blink Pedestal charging units are now being installed at a variety of commercial and public locations across the country. The ability to recharge at work, retail, restaurant, or other public locations provides an added convenience and confidence to EV owners, knowing that there is always a Blink charging station nearby. The Blink Commercial L2 Pedestal model is cost effective enough to be installed just about anywhere people park.
