RD Recap: Changes at The Baffler; Clare Ferguson Joins Marie Claire

Cecilia Vega and Tom Llamas officially take over as co-anchors of “World News Tonight,” manning the desk on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. David Muir, who previously held the position, is now manning the anchor desk on weekdays. Llamas moved to ABC News just five months ago, a remarkable upward trajectory. Last night, Savannah Guthrie sat in the “NBC Nightly News” chair vacated by Brian Williams. She replaced Lester Holt, who was dealing with a family emergency. He returns tonight. Guthrie isn’t new to the “Nightly News” desk, but this time her appearance had a bit more gravitas given the tenuous nature of Holt’s hold on the position…
The Baffler hires Noah McCormack as publisher. He had been director of special projects at the indie mag and is the son of Tin House publisher Win McCormack. The pub has brought on fiction editor Kim Stanley Robinson, poetry editor Edwin Frank, weekly columnist Rick Perlstein and a few others in recent months… Robb Report grabs Stephen Colvin as chief operating officer. The former president and CEO of The Daily Beast had been entrepreneur-in-residence at Lerer Ventures… Clare Ferguson joins Marie Claire from Tatler. She’ll be design director, a jump from her art director position at the London-based publication… Dan Rubinstein finds a spot as home and design editor at Departures. He had been editor-in-chief of Surface, with writing credits in The New York Times, Monocle and others… Amy Levin-Epstein moves to executive editor of Serendipity… Read More
