Philips Electronics is seeking a Senior Design Manager based in Hong Kong. Qualified candidates should:
+ Be a design thought leader and inspire on creativity and ideation for the product category
+ Support Category portfolio transformation by initiation and leading Category innovation based on People research and Design exploration
+ Be the Brand design ambassador for the Category, ensure strong brand position from people centric perspective and drive brand design direction (identity programs and culturally relevant platforms)
+ Propose pro-active propositions to stimulate the debate about Category new value spaces, redefine business space towards market and brand leadership and ensure allocation of relevant design investment.
+ Develop long term Category design strategies and roadmaps and partners in business
+ Manage Category Design programs and related design investments, ensure process convergence for integral efficiency and effectiveness among the different functions in the Category.
+ Monitor Category design quality in line with business unit brand and design standards and initiate corrective action when needed
+ Take lead to maximise design impact and value through:
– Deep understanding of business needs and market context
– Defining areas of contribution that are highly relevant
– Promoting effective cross functional and cross competence collaboration to achieve shared goals that contributes to the business objectives and management agenda of assigned scope
