London Design Festival 2011: "Unnatural Selection," from Raw-Edges

Under the title of Waste Not, Want It, the London Bloomberg offices commission different UK designers every year to transform their office waste into design installations. Raw-Edges design studio, Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer, repurposed an avalanche of used computer monitors, each filled with animation hand-drawn by designer and illustratorOscar Narud to create a cascade from a series of museum vitrines. This intriguing installation about “designing life,” entitled Unnatural Selection, draws inspiration from the collection at the Natural History Museum in London where it was installed for London Design Festival.
