Now that summer is well underway, we have a chance to catch our collective breath. But that doesn’t mean that we’ve all checked out for the season—on the contrary, we’re getting a bit meta, with several articles on how to design for design. Where Tennyson Pinheiro and his colleagues at Livework have extracted a top-level template for “Meta-Service Design” based on their work for Fortune 500 clients, Portland’s Ziba is pleased to offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their ongoing collaboration with AIGA as the latter organization celebrates its 100th Anniversary next year; we published part two of three just a few hours ago.

The bi-weekly Core77 Questionnaire and True I.D. Stories round out the mix, so be sure to check back every day to get your daily design fix!

And lest we forget, last month marked the culmination of the 2013 Core77 Design Awards: From June 10–17, entrants from all around the world tuned in as our internationally distributed jury captains announced the notables, runners-up and winners in the 17 categories of design endeavor. All of the announcements and honorees are archived at Core77DesignAwards.com. And thanks again to all of our esteemed jurors and, of course, the honorees and entrants—we couldn’t have done it without you!
