Isn’t it tweet?
Posted in: UncategorizedOrange is turning people’s Tweets into little animated love stories for Valentine’s Day. Altogether now, “Ahhh…”
“We wanted to do something different for Valentine’s Day. We also wanted to work with a talented animator and see what we could create visually in a short space of time. So we came up with the idea of transforming Tweets into mini animated love stories for users,” explains Rosie Andrews of Poke, the ad agency behind the idea. “People submit their tweets [using #feedlovestories], and a day later, we upload the animations.”
Animators Tom Judd and Ed Barrett only have one day to turn around one animation each (as well as adding music and sound effects).
The resultant films appear on YouTube and The Feed – a website where Orange does ‘social stuff’ such as Secret Portraits, where people’s Twitter profiles were turned into portraits and ‘Singing Tweetagrams’.
