Human Error Interactive Exhibition

Design collective Household and artist Dario Utreras have turned a number of our favourite digital machines into analogue sculptures for an exhibition at the Chinese Arts Centre in Manchester…

The artists have taken four machines that are regularly used in the modern office and for the administration of our daily lives – the printer, scanner, photocopier and photobooth – and turned them into large-scale interactive sculptures. Visitors to the show are invited to play with the machines and create their own artworks. To demonstrate how the various sculptures work, the artists have created a series of charming info films, two of which are shown here, alongside images of the machines in situ in the space.
