Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Arts – Call for Grant Proposals
Posted in: UncategorizedSITIO by Santiago Borja, 2011 Graham Foundation grantee
Chicago’s Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts was founded in 1956 to “produce public programs to foster the development and exchange of diverse and challenging ideas about architecture and its role in the arts, culture, and society,” as well as providing annual project-based grants to individuals and organizations.
Over its 55-year history, the Graham Foundation has provided direct support to individuals working to advance architectural discourse. Project-based awards are available to individuals to support publications, exhibitions, films, new media initiatives, public programs, research, and other projects in the field of architecture.
The Graham Foundation provided over $500,000 in funding to 69 grantees in 2011, and the 2012 grant cycle is currently underway:
To apply for a 2012 individual grant you must submit an inquiry form by September 15, 2011. This form is the first stage of a two-stage application process. Notification of advancement to the second stage will be made in late fall. Final award decisions will be announced in March 2012.
