Fabriek McCabe utilises "old school joinery" in McKano furniture collection
Posted in: UncategorizedFabriek McCabe makes use of traditional oak joinery in its McKano furniture collection, which it is introducing at VDF’s collaboration with Ventura Projects.
Exhibitor: Fabriek McCabe
Project title: McKano collection
Fabriek McCabe is a designer and furniture maker. It is introducing its latest homeware collection, named McKano, as part of VDF’s collaboration with Ventura Projects.
The McKano collection comprises two chairs and a desk made from oak. It was born from Fabriek McCabe’s ambition to create space-saving furniture with sustainable materials, while meeting a demand for “old school joinery in a modern day setup”.
Its use of oak ensures the furniture is sturdy yet lightweight, and is intended to spotlight the strength of the material. The three pieces are all complete without unnecessary details, retaining focus on the handmade joints.
