Dare’s horror films for B&Q
Posted in: Uncategorized
Iconic scenes from classic horror films (including the famous shower scene from Hitchcock’s Psycho, above) are parodied in a new series of online films for DIY store B&Q by agency Dare.
Just as you expect something horrific to happen, the considerably less frightening prospect of a spot of DIY manifests itself – as does the strapline, “DIY doesn’t have to be scary”.
As well as the Psycho film, Tobe Hooper’s 1982 fright fest Poltergeist gets spoofed:
As does the famous “Here’s Johnny” scene from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining…
The films promote B&Q’s Do It Together instore weekend demos designed to free folk of their fear of DIY.
