Cravendale introduces Barry The Biscuit Boy

Cravendale has waved goodbye to the cats with thumbs, replacing them with Barry The Biscuit Boy. Barry appears in the milk brand’s new spot by Wieden + Kennedy London, which takes the form of a classic children’s fable, complete with a dark twist…

W+K worked with Blink Ink directors Andrew Thomas Huang and Joseph Mann to create Barry and his world, which is a mix of puppetry, stop motion animation and CG. The character is quite a sharp change in direction for the brand, who had enjoyed great success with its original Cats With Thumbs spot in 2011. As many other brands have since jumped on the CGI cat bandwagon though, the time seems ripe for a new approach.
