I can't believe Amy Malcolm actually makes these super gorgeous bags from her home studio… WOW… I am soo impressed. This is absolute craftmanship. Coming from a father who knows a thing or two about leather I can only be utterly impressed! Amy is the founder and only staffmember of Opelle Creative.

Not only do these leather handbags look stylish and very modern they also look very beautifully made and if you are the kind of person who just like me prefers handmade above the retail labels then this is the bag for you.                                                                                                       Read and See More >>>

Nauli-photo-album

The good thing about moving house is being reminded of all your family pictures hidden in storage boxes that you never came around placing in a photo-albums… the problem with me is that when I finally have found time and spirit to start sorting them all out I don't have a photo album that I like. I will then go to a 'normal' shop, but do not like what I see and the my good spirit fades away and the pictures go back in the box…

Best solution would be simply to order a couple of theses beautiful handmade albums from Nauli . At least they will be there when I want to start on a rainy evening or Sunday afternoon…

Nauli-calendar

Nauli is the label of two sisters, based near Munich in Germany. Nauli means 'beautiful' and for them this means made with great care… the 2012 Day Planner and weekly planner are out and available right here and Johanna, one of the sisters told me they LOVE to do custom orders! Just email them.

Relique

Like I said yesterday, lot of nostalgic accesoiries at the Woonbeurs… a new trend or were you always already the kind of person who likes vintage and little things from the past to decorate your home with. I certainly am that kind of person 🙂

And Rick the founder and owner of the online shop Relique is too … he has this super big collection of one-of-a-kind treasures… objects – rescued from a building scheduled for demolition or found in the dark corners of an estate sale.                                                                    Read more>>>

The objects I would pick from Relique are: Vintage French metal and porcelain enamel sign for "Ville"; vintage Chinese hand painted round footstool; set of 5 white lucite drawer/cabinet pulls by designer and builder Ruth Richmond; Antique wood and metal crate from the Jersey Creamery Company in Detroit and the Retro office armchair … and in the second image you can see this great orange colored retail display for on the wall and finally these black storage baskets hand woven from recycled rubber tires.

Not often do I show fashion on Bloesem, but sharing the amazing creations by La Casita de Wendy with you only seems logic. These are not you regular type of clothes … I believe these are art-pieces that are very wearable which makes them my favorites!

Inés  and Iván two designers from Madrid are behind La Casita de Wendy. Their fall-winter collection “Wuthering Heights” inspired by the Brontë Sisters is simply stunning. I LOVE the black 'Jane Eyre' coat!! And wouldn't mind finding one of these dresses or tops in my cabinet.

Gift Guides 2011

Giftguide

Tiffany and I already started preparing finding great items for the Bloesem and BKids gift guides 2011. We will start sharing them with you around the third week of October and we will be keeping the same format like last year, with many different categories, becasue many of you told us that you liked it and thought it was an easy way to look for your perfect gift.

Why am I telling you this … well… just like last year you can be part of the guide by becoming a sponsor with your online shop and have a permanent spot on the sidebanner. The ad will run for EVER…

Placing an ad will cost only USD 50.-  … just shoot me an email if you are interested to buy on either Bloesem or BKids or both 🙂

{note: the ad space is at the Gift Guide 2011 page, not the home page of Bloesem or BKids}

{In the image above:  pure hand printed cotton with hand quilting and a aand crafted squirrel lamp}

Former Paul Smith designer Emily Dyson established lifestyle store Couverture in 1999 in Chelsea, London. 2008 seemed the right year to move the shop to the heart of Notting Hill… not only was this a move she combined forces with her fashion designer husband Ian Paley and opened the concept store “Couverture & The Garbstore“.

Well of course not all of us are able to visit this wonderful shop so Emily decided to also open up an online shop. The same beautiful articles that you would find in Notting Hill are here for you. Just make your pick and the package will arrive soon! Some of my favorites are shown in the pictures… that squirrel is looking at me… :):)

Mikiorganics

…is it the photography, the products or the way the lady behind miki organics has put her collection together?… I don't know for sure but I do know I like this shop very much…

miki organics was set up in 2008 by me Claire Watson, who was looking for stylish ethical and eco friendly interior design products, unique accessories and lovely gifts.

I like why Claire choose 'miki' for her shop… it's Japanese for beautiful tree'

which summed up to her what she is trying to achieve with her shop; 'a harmony between the natural and the beautiful'

You can start shopping at miki organics right here… enjoy!

Is your house ready for winter or do you not need an excuse to treat yourself on one of these beautiful sheep skins? I don't, that's for sure… I can wait until I am old and grey becasue winter will never arrive here in Malaysia and I still LOVE these small natural rugs im my home. They are so soft and comfortabel and although you can argue it is from an animal… I eat meat too and I wear leather as long as I can remember on my feat and I love leather handbags… so no reason for me to stay away from these… well at least I need to know the skins are stamped as ‘Eco-Friendly’.          >>Read More>>

Blacksheep

black sheep (white light) from Canada was founded by Bryce, who discovered these beautiful Icelandic sheepskins while attempting to source a sheepskin for an interior design project, the IKEA pelts just didn’t do it for him… 🙂

Recently Bryce added some reindeer hides to his collection too. You can click here to visit Black Sheep (white light).
