An iPhone Dock and So Much More

When it comes to iPhone accessories, the Lumawake breaks expectations, blowing other dock designs out of the water both aesthetically and functionally! Why functionally? Well, to say it charges just barely scratches the surface – it also tracks sleeping patterns, integrates with home theaters, has an open API for developers to develop compatible software, and waaaay more! Hit the jump to see all the specs!

FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS:

Tracking & Reporting– Monitors and reports sleep patterns daily, allowing people to adjust their daily schedules to optimize restorative sleep.

Simulated Sunrise – Multicolor LED lighting gradually illuminates beginning at the preset wake window. Light falling on the eyes before a wake event has been proven to increase energy hormones preparing the body to wake naturally.

Smart Wake Technology – Using motion sensors and a complex algorithm, Lumawake was designed to wake users at the optimal time in their sleep cycle, helping to wake you feeling refreshed and energized.

Non-Contact – Unlike competitors, Lumawake does not require you to leave your phone on the bed or wear headbands or wristbands.

Easy of Use – Lights up as you approach so you never have to fumble for the charger in the dark. One handed docking, works with any generation iPhone and with any case.

Home Automation System Integration – Seamlessly integrated with home automation systems like Belkin’s WebMo and SmartThings to do things like automatically turn the lights and television off after you’ve fallen asleep, then open blinds and brew coffee the moment you wake up.

Fully Customizable – Users can easily create custom notifications using the LEDs and can change setting and/or turn off any features they wish using the free app.

Compatibility across all generation iPhone’s and iPod Touches is achieved through swappable modules making upgrades painless

Open API – Developers can create apps with Lumawake hardware: Microprocessor, Motion sensors, Multicolor LED’s

This Smartphone Packs a Hidden Earbud

It’s time to get serious about mobile phone radiation – and what better way to do it than with a lovely design concept to completely do away with it? This is the “ER”, a smartphone that works with a Bluetooth-connected detachable microphone/earbud combo. When it’s docked, the earbud charges up. When it’s out, it’s instantly connected wirelessly to your phone.

This device was made not just for those people who love to keep their phone in their pocket when they talk for fashion, but for those worried about the radiation emitted by phones on a regular basis. For them, there’s this surprisingly reasonable docked earbud-in-phone concept – have at it!

The Virtual Reality Phone is Here

The award winning LG Touch mobile phone concept combines state-of-the-art touch technology with a minimalist aesthetic that challenges the limitations of existing mobile phones. The primary feature is a high-tech polymer membrane touch surface that constantly changes to give the user tactile feedback to what’s displayed on the screen. It allows those with sight impairments to read Braille, or users who are shopping online to literally feel the texture of the material they are looking at. It’s virtual reality put to real world use.

LG Touch is the Grand Prize Winner of the 2012 LG Mobile Design Competition.

Green USB power pack from the wall

It’s time for another new angle on the USB power-packing accessory universe, this time with one that stays in the wall socket and conserves energy. You plug this little nubbin in to the power socket, wait for it to pop up like a turkey, and grab some power. This accessory stops taking power from the socket once it’s charged up, allowing that power then to filter through its two USB ports to your smart devices.

Other than the power collecting abilities, this device isn’t all that unique. With the pop-out action, this device becomes indispensable. I’d certainly like to have a handful of these for heading out to a tech convention or even sitting around the apartment – wouldn’t you?

iPhone touchkeys become real

Designer Moon Myounghak has made a lovely effort in a very real way (conceptual on the verge of reality) in creating a case that allows the iPhone to become a touchkey phone. WIth the keys this case creates for the iPhone, you’ve got a very physical set of keys accented by a touchscreen that contains five icons across. In other words, this wouldn’t be allowed by Apple as it stands here, but with a hacked iPhone you’d have gold.

Have a peek at what this physical case with real physical buttons would bring you and your iPhone and let us know – would you do it? Do you desire the physical set of keys of yesteryear to keep the iPhone linked to the past? Or could you never, ever keep away from the full touchscreen experience?

Muscular Mobile Phone

This peculiar, creature-like mobile phone concept, appropriately named Curious, features a multi-sensory notification system that alerts the user to incoming calls with not only a standard vibration and ring, but also a complete changing of its shape! At rest, the phone lies flat, but upon being activated by a call, the sections begin to flex, offering an additional visual indication and shape that is more ergonomic for holding against the ear. To turn off, simply push the phone against a surface to deactivate it.

Finally, iPhone Movies!

The iPhone is good for a lot of things, but movies… not so much! The Big Screen concept enhances the video capabilities of the iPhone by using a thin Fresnel lens at the front to magnify whatever is playing on the screen. The angle of the device instantly positions the phone and screen at a comfortable viewing angle. Even though touch screen functionality is disabled, side openings provide access to the volume and home buttons.

iPhone Keyboard Case

The Fliptype iPhone case allows users to not only see the keys they are typing, but feel them as well! The translucent, tactile keyboard provides an additional sensory element to typing that users transitioning from Blackberry (or maybe just those with big fingers!) will appreciate. The flippable typing strap can also be easily tucked away at the back of the case when not in use.

Luxury Android

In a world of cookie-cutter smartphones, the BeoSmart stands out from its counterparts as a truly unique design that hones in on the style and quality of the Bang and Olufsen audio and Leica camera brands. The exterior casing is reminiscent of the Leica M series cam fit with synthetic leather as well as a high powered B&O speaker at the center that serves as the focal point of the design. Finally, an exclusive-feeling Android phone!
