Sink AND Shower

Two in One combines the functionality of both a shower and sink faucet into one object. How?! Thanks to a sealed, jointed arm, the user simply rotates the shower head down to direct water over the sink. It’s not exactly the first solution you might think of to cut back on materials or save space, but the result is nonetheless clever and attractive so long as you can squeeze its specific dimensions into your bathroom.

Bathroom Chromotherapy

The Northern Lights have attracted the night sky watchers for ages. This collection of backlit bathroom furniture takes inspiration from and mimics this natural phenomenon. The integrated LED diffusion effect is enhanced only by the smooth, organic shape of each piece and can be adjusted in intensity and color to suite the user’s mood.

Shower with a Clean Conscience

A hot shower feels sooooo good! It’s no wonder that we often overlook how much water we’re using. The Refresh system helps cut back on consumption by quickly filtering and recirculating some of the water from each shower cycle. The system can be implemented into any existing shower for instant water savings. Slots for the user’s favorite bar soap are built into the design, so it doubles as a dish!

Fogless Shower!

The Wind Rain Fire shower system integrates the exhaust fan with the showerhead, making sure that steam and heat is instantly dispersed. The idea is to make the bathroom fell less stuffy after a hot shower. The system includes a towel-warming rail. On the whole, it’s a great idea and step in the right direction.

Wind Rain Fire is a Reece Bathroom Innovation Award winner.

Landscaped Showers

If you have ever used the open-shower bathrooms in luxury hotels, you’ll totally connect with the Portal Shower. There is nothing more refreshing than an environment that reflects nature’s bounty. The shower system consists of a screen system that showcases various natural environments. An easy fix to your daily dose of the sea, sands, and gardens!

Details:

  • Portal is a piece of electro thermal defogging glass with clear view film on both sides.
  • This film allows us to project a scene directly onto the glass while maintaining its translucent properties.
  • The glass is connected to a sensor which automatically adds a current, to prevent fogging.
  • A rear mounted projector can be built into a wall or ceiling and can project a variety of scenes.

Portal is a 2013 Bathroom Innovation Awards entry.

The most versatile shower ever!

Two of my biggest pet peeves are being cold and wet after a hot shower and water dripping on the floor!! This ingenious device  called the Air Shower solves both problems by instantly transforming from shower head to heat dryer after you’re finished rinsing off. Dry off your bod, stay warm, and keep water from collecting on the floor! What better tech company to tackle the solution than Dyson with their patented air taps? Do want!

Bod Pods

Gosh shower gels introduce an entirely new shower experience in the form of single-use dissolving tablets that completely eliminate the need for PET plastic bottles. It’s similar to the detergent tablets for your dishwasher only they’re for your bod! Each tablet has two uses; the first layer exfoliates skin before dissolving to the second layer of shower gel that cleanses and leaves skin feeling refreshed with nutrient-rich geyser water.

Shower Power

Showering is supposed to be a catharsis of the day and of our daily environmental exposure. The last thing we should be dirtying up is our conscience with wasteful habits like using up way too much life-giving water. The “Sshower” for Roca was conceived by designer Marco Antonio Esquiró San Román for that very reason. With built in sensors that can automatically detect when you are actually under the shower head, this shower will turn of the stream and replace it with steam until you are ready to rinse off. But wait, there is more! While you are being a good and clean Earthling, you can also be informed as to the day’s weather, stock prices, how much water you are using and even what song is up next for your foam party for one. Of course its Bluetooth and Wifi ready, but then again…what isn’t these days?

Shower Anywhere from the Comfort of Home!

There’s nothing quite like an outdoor shower, but it’s mostly reserved for those with the space and privacy. As much as our neighbors might appreciate a show, for those of us who live in urban spaces, it’s something we can only dream of! Well here’s the next best thing – the Spaces OLED shower brings the outside in with a 180-degree, wrap-around screen that will fulfill the user’s fantasy, putting them in any setting they choose… jungle, beach, waterfall, you get the idea!

The Snake Shower

The Aqueous is quite an innovative design that exudes a fluid form while retaining functionality. It features a unique malleable disk that allows you to control the flow of water; pushing down regulates pressure, pushing right brings hot water, and left brings cold. As the designer explains, “Aqueous’ singular shape creates a memorable silhouette.”

Aqueous provides both a shower-head, that is activated once rotated out 90 degrees from the wall, and a retractable shower unit that can be used when the shower-head is de-activated but also locks in place when not in use. It can be adapted in enamel for multiple color variations, and has the potential to be applied to mixer taps as part of a bathroom suite.

Aqueous is a 2012 Reece Bathroom Innovations Award entry.
