The iPhone Saga – More Real Estate

So, the story continues….we have another brilliant iPhone 6 concept that features a flat screen with 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch display options. The resolution of screen allows the icons reorganization on the springboard. I think it looks very fulfilling to have a screen that spills over the edges.

iPhone Pro – For Developers and Power Users

Simply love this version of the iPhone 6, it has so much substance to it, and as designer Michael Muyunda puts its, this is a pro version that is conceptualized to release alongside the iPhone 6. It is a version meant for developers and power users and is based on technology that should be available between now and the near future. This concept sees the use of a centered more square battery because the regular iPhone layout will not work with the back ‘windows’ layout.

  • This concept shows a practical way to run a desktop OS on a mobile phone. Everything unnecessary such as the system UI and desktop has been removed.
  • The sidebar is used to search all desktop apps.
  • When a desktop app is opened, Linux is virtually booted and the rest are ready to use.
  • When you press ‘Close all’, Linux is shutdown.
  • One of the main problems with a desktop OS is the UI size and this can be easily fixed with a smart zoom feature.
  • When your finger is hovered close to the screen a zoomed area will appear so you can easily get work done easily.
  • The dock recognizes the iPhone via NFC and wirelessly streams the display over Wi-Fi to any apple device.
  • The device will also include a HDMI dongle, which can be plugged into any HDMI display much like the chromecast.
  • The USB ports can be used to fully convert your phone into a PC by connecting peripherals such as keyboard and mice or you could use Bluetooth.

Michael Muyunda also has a campaign live here, check it out.

The iPhone 6 – Ahhhh!

Here it is, another sweet iPhone 6 concept. Interestingly by pushing the display to the edge, a 4.8″ display has been fashioned. I prefer this bling touch to the minimal one that is seen in the iPhone 5s. What do you guys think? Aye or Nay?

Expected iPhone 6

Is designer Heo Leo onto something? Not sure, but his analysis of recent redesigns by Apple has some weight to it. No wonder his iPhone 6 concept looks predictably surreal. Good job Leo!

Apple iPhone 6, Really!

The new Apple commercial has drawn a lot of flack for its insensitive portrayal of interaction between people and its products. For a twisted moment, the focus has shifted from the human experience to the gadget experience. The disconnect of emotions is creepy and alarming! Close on heels is the news that a new iPhone may be out in September, so till that time let’s absorb this new take on the Jesus-phone! Apple iPhone 6, Really!

OMG, Yes Another iPhone 6 Concept Phone!

By now Jony Ive and his brigade must be having a good laugh at the number of iPhone 6 concepts doing the rounds. But I must admit that with each passing new idea, the designing and aspects are getting refined and eloquent. Who knows one of these may trigger an inspiration for Ive! Specs for this new idea include straight sides with chrome accents, upper and lower angles curved with grainy texture and gloss finish. The power button positioning, volume buttons on the left side, Nano slot and 3.5mm jack on the right side and speaker connector on the bottom. The loading dock is metallic and grounded along with being magnetized. What do you say… aye or nay?

Yet Another iPhone 6

One of the reasons why many people buy a fender for their iPhone is that the back surface tends to scratch pretty easily, especially in the iPhone 5. Designer Matt Hughson envisions the iPhone 6 to come designed with an integrated aluminum outer frame, which creates a protective lip for the front & back of the phone. This provides improved protection for your screen & camera.

The cut away in the upper left corner gives the phone an added functionality in the form of a slot. This gives the user an attachment feature as well as lock-ability. The main screen maximizes the available space allowing for more wide screen view-ability.

The Power Of Six

Inspired by the iMac, yet hosting the DNA of an iPhone 5, the new dimension as envisioned by Valentin Gallard, will be colors. Yes, a colorful and spirited iPhone 6 that has enough space to showcase the true impact of hues. What do you think?

Forget iPhone 5, It’s Time For iPhone 6!

If you are still dealing with conceptual iPhone 5 phones, then I reckon you are late in the game. The stakes have moved up to the iPhone 6, a concept where the home button is moved to the left side of the phone (used with the thumb), leaving a huge screen space for one to enjoy. In this mockup, Antoine uses ergonomic grip quite cleverly and formulates it with dimensions 125 mm x 63 mm with a 4.9-inch screen. For a first round of concepts, it looks interesting enough, what do you think?
