The Rope Vessel-making, Cake-baking Gemma!

Not only does Gemma make beautiful rope baskets, she is also a baker of amazing cakes, including her own wedding cake which you can see in the 3rd photography in the collage. Can you believe Gemma baked her own wedding cake? And it looks this amazing?? I love how simple and not over done it is. Her instagram gets me in the mood to go make something or paint something and just cross my fingers that it turns out as beautiful as something she made. Oh Gemma we can't wait for your rope vessel making Bloesem class!

It’s a Tokyo thing

 Anouk (from the Timecapsules, who also works in the Bloesem Creative Space) just recently returned from Playtime Tokyo and she had such a great time there, which makes me totally jealous and is having me already planning a vacation there. Doesnt help that on that same day, I chanced upon Nana’s beautiful instagram feed. Born in Oslo but based in Japan, Nana also runs Oh My Tokyo which also features her guide to Tokyo. How do you resist the urge to flee the country and head to Japan right this moment!

I have a bad habit. The first thing I do when I open my eyes is reach around for my phone then, you guessed it, have a look at my instagram feed. It's really a great way to start the day, having the first things your eyes see be beautiful pictures taken by your instagram friends. This morning I was greeted with Tana's beautiful feed. (perfectly timed with my sudden obsession with flowers!) I suggest you treat your eyes with some of Tana's shots.

One of the instagram feeds I have been wanting to talk about for awhile now, belongs to April Flores. She describes herself as prop stylist and Yoga Instructor based in Brooklyn. I can always count on her for lovely pictures on my instagram feed. Everytime I see that she posted a picture, I'll go to her profile and see if I've missed out on any other goodies.

Nikole Herriott

Following a trail of beautiful pictures of wooden spoons and bowls, I finally made my way to Nikole Herriott's instagram. Which then led me to Herriott Grace, the amazing product of a talented father-daughter duo. Not only are the products so beautiful and very obviously made with so much passion (I can't wrap my mind around how Nikole's dad, Lance, makes them) , but the photographs and styling by Nikole really make them irresistable!

Little did I know, Nikole is an old friend of Irene (who also loves her designs) and has been a guest on Bloesem before! Here is a post about her home and some other posts about Herriott Grace. What a small world!
