Haji Lane in Singapore has changed massively since the last time I visited and a few weeks back Irene told me about a great shop she had visited there, so of course I had to take my wednesday off and go see it for myself. Well, she was right! Mondays Off is definitely one of my favorites on the street. Leyna, chief dreamer at Mondays Off, actually popped by Bloesem awhile back and it was so great seeing her again.

The store is beautiful both inside and out, don't you agree? That is one beautiful store display!

You can find a quirky mix of home and garden merchandize, as well as tons of cute things that make great gifts. The store is so colorful and full of items that you just want to take a closer look at, so i suggest you make a complete round before you decide which items are going home with you.

One of my favorite things that Leyna said while I was there was that, to her, the store is home. And I feel exactly the same way about Bloesem.

So the next time you find yourself with some time off, or around Haji Lane, make sure to visit Mondays Off at 76 Haji Lane, Singapore. I'm sure you won't regret it.

A house I would love to live in … Christien Starkenburg can come over to Singapore at any time and decorate my home! Her use of color and texture in spaces is just perfect, it’s really bold yet not overwhelming. Makes such a statement!

Christien is also art-director at Jan de Jong interiors … a beautiful shop in the Netherlands and that is where I found these images. I believe christien and Claudy Jongstra another top talent from the low-lands are good friends … I understand why they are, it truly enhances both their individual designs!

A few weeks back we met Ping & Cheryl, a very friendly couple from Malaysia while they were in Singapore. After chatting for awhile, we found out that they are the owners of the cafe LOKL in Kualar Lumpur! (Love the name of the cafe!) They are also connected to BackHome hostel (pictures below), which looks like a lovely place to stay if you are ever visiting KL.

LOKL is a neighbourhood cafe in the historic heart of KL. They serve espressos and local coffee, hot sandwiches with a local twist, and cakes and pastries. It is housed in a bright airy space with an internal courtyard that’s shared with BackHome hostel.  

BackHome is an award-winning boutique backpacker’s hostel located right in the heart of Kualar Lumpur, Malaysia. Located in the historic heart of Kuala Lumpur, you’ll find some of the city’s best attractions located within a stone’s throw away. They promise that you’ll get the same tender loving care as you do back home. That means personal attention, a good night’s rest and peace of mind.

BackHome is also home to the LOKL Coffee Co., it's own in-house café that helps sets a positive vibe for your stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Now here is a real estate agent who understands to sell his goods!

We all know it all comes down to choosing the right location when buying a property … but making the space look as attractive as possible is a guarantee for success! I am loving the styling in each and every room Fantastic Frank lays in hands on.

Founded in Stockholm in 2010 Fantastic Frank is a traditional real estate agency with a passion for great photography and great sales. They opened another office in Mitte, Berlin in 2013 … which city will be next? My guess London … what about yours?

And what is left for us .. some serious snooping around in other people 's houses!

IntSight … a company from Barcelona in Spain I would hire if I needed some guidance in interior ideas for a new project … their portfolio is a feast for the eye. It was chök, the chocolate kitchen that I spotted over at Blog Milk and wanted me to know a bit more about the people who designed this new chocolate kitchen in Barcelona. … but I couldn't find much about the creatives behind IntSight other then they say they like to inspire, create concepts, develop ideas and define spaces …
perhaps we should leave it with that and just enjoy the images … a selection of different prjects!
