Billboards across US to ‘sing’ national anthem on July 4

Digital poster sites in 36 US cities from coast to coast will ‘sing’ the Star Spangled Banner on July 4 in a campaign for media owner Clear Channel produced with agency Taxi

Over 100 ‘out of home’ sites in 36 cities across the US will each display a different phrase from the Star Spangled Banner, starting with “Oh say can you…,” on the east coast, heading west, then returning to Times Square in New York City with the final words “home of the brave” at nightfall. The United 4th campaign is designed to showcase the capabilities of Clear Channel’s digital sites.

Taxi produced this film in collaboration with 1One Productions to demonstrate what will happen, using video of the billboards shot by Clear Channel employees testing the system plus footage shot by 1One and a new version of the US anthem performed by Ingrid Michaelson.

The campaign will run until July 7.
