Introducing a new recurring feature that will challenge us to keep our winsome verbosity in check: Around the Design World in 80 Words (or Less). Today, we focus our temporarily terse writerly voice on creative movers and shakers:

  • Halston CEO Bonnie Takhar has been ousted. SJP is bummed.

  • Town & Country has tapped LIPMAN to set the creative and design direction for the magazine.

  • Andy Spade is working on a “livened up” look for Lucky. Expect fresh fonts, new photographers.

  • The November issue of Elle Décor celebrates five Women in Design: DvF, Deborah Berke, Sheila Bridges, Ann Gish, and Victoria Hagan.

  • Cartoon Network has promoted Michael Ouweleen to SVP and group creative director for its new creative group.
