Twenty of the city’s best Italian furniture and lighting showrooms are in on the fun (as if you needed another reason to drool over the wares at Flos and Poltrona Frau), and two cultural events are involved: Robert Wilson’s “Perchance to Dream” installation at Center 548 and Peter Greenaway’s take on “Leonardo’s Last Supper” at the fantastico Park Avenue Armory.
  • Do you hear a bird whistling as to if to herald the readiness of tea? Michael Graves must be nearby! The architect and famed kettle designer will be at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum on Thursday, December 16, for another fascinating installment of “Bill’s Design Talks.” Graves will provide an intimate portrait of his career and discuss the influences that shaped his thinking and approach to design before chatting with Cooper-Hewitt director Bill Moggridge.
