Show Us Your Models and Prototypes, Win a Design Awards Poster
Posted in: UncategorizedDesigners will be the first to admit it—not all of our brilliant ideas start off good. It takes some experimentation, long hours, toiling and toying with paper or foam models until we’ve almost hit our breaking point. Then, whammo! We change one element of a model, maybe even come across a happy accident and the solution is right there in front of our eyes. Without that long, grueling process of making dozens, hundreds—maybe thousands!—of prototypes, it’s hard to imagine anything feeling as resolved as that final design.
That grueling yet satisfying process is in fact one of the driving ideas behind this year’s Core77 Design Awards poster (which you can read in full detail about here).
We’ve sent out thousands of these puppies, but have reserved a limited edition run of 77 hand numbered and signed by the artists. So to honor all those in the design hustle, we wanted to give you a special opportunity to own this awesome poster that we believe embodies designers’ noble mission to continue to make the world a better place. Introducing our It’s (not) All Good Prototype Contest!
Show us your prototypes, all of em! Post a picture on Twitter or Instagram displaying your prototype variations for a project you’re working on now or in the past, tell us what they’re for, and include the hashtag #C77Awards for a chance to win one of these limited edition Design Awards poster! Here’s some visual inspiration to get you started:
We’ll be giving away 25 posters over the next month to people who post the best prototype spreads—that’s almost 1 poster every day! You know what they say, the Early Bird gets the worm…so get to posting! Poster giveaway ends March 1.
And don’t worry, we know design isn’t just models and prototypes, so next month we’ll be giving away posters with a different contest theme (stay tuned)
