Things Marketers Love: The Same Things that Designers Love?

THINGS MARKETING PEOPLE LOVE suffers from something that (some) marketing people love: Me-Too-ism. It’s been a funny and provocative Internet-meme while it lasted, and we hope this is its last gasp, while it’s still chortly and the embarassed feeling that we’ve seen a LOT of this is just on the periphery.
Couldn’t we substitute Hipster Designer for a many of the things that Marketing People apparently love?
- Kidrobot
- Riding Their Overpriced Bike To Work [ahem]
- Ventis from Starbucks
- Ironic facial hair
- Awards
- Street Art
- Moleskin [sic] Journals
- Black ungoldy-expensive square framed glasses [see above]
- Black T-shirts
- Wearing over-sized headphones at their desk
- Sleeping with each other
Someone with 20 extra minutes could set up thingsdesignerslove.blogspot.com and simply rip-off each of their posts. It’d ring true and it would have the bonus ironicalness of Me-Too Design.
