Hello, how was your weekend? We just got back (literally an hour ago) from a long weekend in Singapore … and it was truly wonderful. I have come to love that city a lot and am deeply impressed by the high quality of everyday life in Singapore. What I liked best is that we spend almost all our time outside…in the park, the beach or walking along the river and sitting down for a coffee or a glas of wine while the kids were playing in front of us. 

I love living here in Kuala Lumpur but that is something I really miss here. I didn't visit any shop so I couldn't make a city guide for you but next time i'm there I will do. Today I also wasn't able to share a new Let' Get Personal Tour with you so I thought why not show you some images that were still waiting in my archives from our own home…to be honest these images are a bit outdated, I have moved the furniture around already….will show you the updated version real soon 🙂

D:: Danish is…Denmark is a very small country in Scandinavia. We speak a weird language called Danish where we make some strange sounds. In the summer we love to bike around and spend time near the sea or in a green park. In the winter we like to wrap up and stay indoor, we light candles and get cosy on the sofa with a cup of tea.

A:: Art I like to buy at…the nice little shop Can in Copenhagen. I love their colorful collages and paintings made by Stine Maria Aalykke. I have a wall in my flat covered with photos, drawings made by friends and old postcards found at flea markets when traveling. It brings up memories and the wall keeps growing.

N:: New in my home is…my new bike. It has a lovely grey color and it´s so comfortable to ride. I bike everywhere I can in Copenhagen so it´s nice to ride a good bike.

 
I:: Imagine, I could live in a different place or home, where or what kind of home would it be…
I love New York. I lived here for a period and it´s such a great city with inspiring energy and people.

S:: Snack, my favorite Danish snack is…Ice cream in the summer and tea in the winter.

H:: Home means to me…A place to relax, have friends over, make food, read, sleep and reload my energy. It´s also a place to collect memories from traveling. I love to visit new places and meet different cultures. Me and my boyfriend is going to Japan next week and we are looking so much forward to it.

H:: hobby, I always make time for…
Playing tennis. And listening to old records. I find nice sleeves at flea markets, some I buy just for their great cover. My favourite record is Miles Davis "Kind of Blue". You can listen to it again and again, you never get tired of this record.

O:: outfit, my favorite thing to wear is… my clothes from the Danish designer Stine Goya. She is so good at working with prints. I always wear jewellery from the Danish designer Vibe Harsløf . Her stuff is fun but still elegant and made with a touch of humour. I like that.

M:: magazines I love to read are…I am a big magazine fan! My favourites are The Gentlewoman, Mark, Lula, Love and Stella of course.

E:: enjoy, I can't live without…Colors, flowers and love.

D:: Danish is…a very difficult language  to learn. Snowy cosy winters and a bright cheerful spring and the country where my beautiful son was born.

A:: Art I like to buy…is mostly illustrative work or very textured bold pieces like Mark Rothko's amazing work.

N:: New in my home is…a lot of wonderful wedding gifts (I got married 2 weeks ago), a nice little blue Royal Copenhagen ceramic frog and a bunch of Swarovski penguins.

I:: Imagine, I could live in a different place or home, where or what kind of home would it be…difficult to say.. I do love  our home very much. Could swop it for a town house in Notting Hill though..
 

S:: Snack, my favorite Danish snack is…scraped raw beef on rye bread with onions, beet roots, raw egg, and fresh horse radish.

H:: Home means to me…the place where my husband and son play with the dogs, an ever changing pad always tempting me to start a new interior project as well as a huge comfort zone for me. 

H:: hobby, I always make time for…reading books while drinking sweetened white coffee and  dog walking by the beach.

O:: outfit, my favorite thing to wear is…my wedding band.

M:: magazines I love to read are…Vogue Living, Rum, Marie Claire Maison, Cover, Vogue Paris, Lula.

E:: enjoy, I can't live without…my Studio, MisseMai Prints, my family and the dogs, sweetened white coffee, praline chocolate, textile design, creativity and my wonderful friends.

MisseMai Prints is a design studio located in a corner of Copenhagen founded by Mia-Louise Mailund… a lot of the gorgeous black and white prints are influenced by Danish writer H.C.Andersen’s love story ”The Snow Queen”… i really love the prints on the striped bedding, which is nice for children but also for grown-ups like me 🙂 … I haven't decided yet which print is my favorite, too hard to choose…but I think this Flax print is really cute and what is there not to like about the Deer..

S:: Spanish is… pain, I spain, eye's vain, ice vein.

P:: projects I like to work on are… photography projects about my nearest and most common, about stretching the margins of the scene set.

A:: art in my home is from… mostly by us, my boyfriend, Irkus or friends. It's a never ending process. We like unfinished things that are taking shape over time.

N:: new in my home is… two wicker chairs for the terrace that I got from my parents home to pass wonderfully hot summer days.

I:: indulgence, my secret indulgence is… cooling my feet in the icy water of the river.

S:: style means… to choose.

H:: home is… taking a deep breath.
 



H:: hobby, I always make time for… listening to the radio while cooking or before going to sleep so dreams are often confused with the news of the day.

O:: outfit, my favorite thing to wear is… high waisted trousers with vintage blouses and my worn-out brogues.

M:: magazines I love to read are… aperture, lens culture, ojo de pez , exit, mediastorm, cahiers du cinema, museum paper, analogue books blog, duduá blog, ptqk blogzine, and many more.

E:: enjoy, I can't live without… loved ones, nice projects and memories.

I'm very happy we are visiting Barcelona today, I have been wandering these streets so often in my life and I always wondered what the inside of one of those apartments looked like…what kind of decoration will you find in the home of a artistic Spanish lady. I grew up spending all our vacations in Girona, LLagostera just North of Barcelona and when seeing the apartment above I only wish I could go back and show my sons Barcelona next year!

…but enough about me, let's talk about the lady who lives here…Núria del Moral, who is one of the founders of Las Coleccionistas Studio that was set up in 2007. I have shown some of their gorgeous photography work before here on Bloesem and am really excited to see they have expanded their collection with the beautiful pendants and this great new notebook set: I am the place where I am.

Dutch:: is directness- openness – simpleness but also boldness and little elegancy!

Entrance::  when entering my home you will notice the uten silo re edited by vitra and very much loved in our family of 5 with lots and lots of loose stuff/papers/keys that used to get lost before the arrival of the uten silo…

Style:: means… following your own rules and not get too influenced by other peoples opinions

Inspiration:: comes from nature

Gourmet:: is necessary because life is short

New:: in my home is the catherine kullberg lamp which we love

Hobby:: I always make time for too many things – can’t choose

Outfit:: my favorite thing to wear is my super de luxe martin margiela boots and a necklace my friend and designer marion vidal gave me as a present.
