A couple of months ago I was designing a fancy pants pendulum for a clock that didn’t go anywhere…
Sometimes the process is better than the goal.
Draw, scan, tweak, print, draw, scan, tweak, print, draw, scan, tweak, print, ad infinitum.

I participated in ‘les cravates par Hermès’ Designboom competition, or thought I did.
I worked hard for a couple of months to come up with these ideas, but due to a technical glitch my entry did not upload.
I wrote Designboom a couple of emails, but they never answer.
I then tried to spam my way into Hermès’ design team. No luck.
Here are my 3 entrees:
Cut and Paste
Remix the Hermès logo to create new shapes.
Gallop
A horse’s gallop determines the frequency of the lines.
VortexShock
Moving through air and water, we create a vortex that follow us.
These ties now become a part of the designdreams collection.

To create a material that transforms without seams fading from wood to a solid color you need:
a wooden base, a spray gun and lots of sanding.

A cuckoo clock that has a house come out of the birds mouth.
Instead of singing a doorbell rings.
agh// I forgot to draw the clock.
ZAP! is a small sidetable that recalls comic explosions.
It could be built using laquered MDF, laser-cut steel, and a tube.

Plugged in, the center heats up and is cooled at the same time by fans that move cooling gas.
Think of it as a slick product that gives the finger to environmentalists.
Ignore the instructions on the box…
Use this method to open your milk or juice, and avoid the drips and the inconstant glug-glug-glug you get from their awful spout.
