In our 15th year serving the global design community, we feel that, like fine wine, Coroflot has gotten better with age. Since 1997, Coroflot has been the world’s most trusted employment site for designers, makers and other members of the creative economy. (As its sister site, here at Core77 we start off each day by highlighting a notable job and regularly feature a Flot-spot—showcasing outstanding people and projects found at Coroflot.)

So you might have noticed that we recently unveiled a brand new Coroflot. We’re proud of the new system and all the work that went into it over the past 12 months. The development efforts, which were supported in part by the good people at 3DVIA, produced a new identity, a new UI and navigation system, new account and project management tools and new search technology—all while maintaining the same focus on connecting designers with employment opportunities world wide.

The new design puts the emphasis on the visual display and features a clean and uncluttered interface and navigation. We also focused on making the system more straightforward for you—whether you’re publishing jobs, projects or viewing work by others. We took this opportunity to look at our overall user-experience, completely revamping the UI, branding and layout of the site. This includes a new feature that allows you to embed 3D models directly into your Coroflot portfolio using the 3DVIA Interactive viewer. The result is great looking presentation of your work and incredible ease-of-use.

We won’t bore you with the technical aspects of the build but we will say that the relaunch of Coroflot heralds an entirely new back end for the site, rebuilt from the ground up. But what we’re most excited about is this: What you see today at Coroflot is just the beginning; our new foundation will allow us to rapidly roll-out new features and functionality, develop new products and facilitates the expansion of our services to new partners.

All these developments are very exciting, but none of them changes our goal from day one: to connect designers to the best people and professional opportunities. We have a broad range of incredibly talented members pursuing amazing careers, and we appreciate each and every one of you. We’re excited to continue building the tools you need, and these changes were made with you foremost in mind. We would love to hear how you like them.
