Pro-Ject's Limited-Edition Metallica Turntable

For those looking to Ride the Lightning in style, Austrian audiophile equipment manufacturer Pro-Ject makes this limited edition Metallica turntable.

The solid mirror-finished MDF plinth screams ‘metal’ and is uniquely shaped into the Metallica ‘Ninja Star’ logo, which is made from the ‘M’ of the iconic band’s main logo. The heavy glass platter lets you fully take in the plinth, and works with it and the aluminum sub platter to deliver zero resonance and accurate playback of your vinyl.

“Pro-Ject MM cartridge. The Pick it S2 C [cartridge] offers a thrilling and exciting sound, which oozes of details and high fidelity. It unveils unheard precision and dynamics of your records.”

“Glass platter. Heavy zero-resonance design. The high mass of the platter produces the tightest and most accurate playback speeds and at the same time allows you to see the stunning turntable.”

“Metal Feet. Damped & height adjustable. The three height adjustable damped aluminium feet guarantee the perfect stand & massively reduce risk of acoustical feedback.”

“Electronic speed control. Change between 33/45 & 78 RPM easily with the toggle switch. With the supplied round belt for 78 rpm, you can also listen to your shellac records.”

The Metallica Limited Edition Manual Three-Speed Turntable, carried by retailers like B&H, goes for $1,600.
