LimeLife Reports: Madonna To Model For Dolce & Gabbana

Instead of fading away as she gets older, she just seems to be getting more and more popular for more and more things (including dating a much, much younger man). And she’s still gorgeous enough to be modeling, too! Madonna is set to be the newest model for Dolce & Gabbana! And in case you didn’t know, it’s not the first time Madonna has worked with the popular designer. They actually designed the costumes for Madonna’s 1993 Girlie Show tour. And more recently, they just designed the costumes for her Sticky and Sweet tour. Since they’ve been working together for so long, it seems only natural for Madonna to start modeling for them, especially since she recently finished her stint as the spokesmodel for Louis Vuitton. Camilla Belle Wears Alexander McQueen Spring 2010

imageAt the debut of the futuristic dystopian flick “2012,” Camilla Belle bravely donned an Alexander McQueen creation from his Spring 2010 collection, which premiered in Paris a few weeks ago. The entire Alexander McQueen collection featured a futuristic look and reptilian themed prints. Belle’s dress was a short dress with a puff-ball skirt and gem trim on the sleeves. She wisely accessorized this attention-grabber of a dress with a minimal theme in mind. A simple bangle, plain earrings, and nude platform heels ensured that accessories would not compete with the dress. It would be easy to overdo it with chains or diamonds or “look-at-me” shoes. Also in attendance at the movie premiere was American Idol season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert. The soundtrack to the movie features his song “Time for Miracles.” Critics describe the song as “perfect” for the movie in which the world faces a huge cataclysmic event and those left have to fight for survival. Written by Roland Emmerich and Harald Kloser, the movie’s cast includes John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Thandie Newton. Woody Harrelson and Danny Glover are also included in the cast of thousands. The film premiered November 4 in Los Angeles. This week it is scheduled for release in Belgium, France, and the UK. Which Of Lady Gaga’s Looks Is The Wildest?

imageBy now, there is no need to prelude Lady Gaga with an introduction or description. Everyone knows who she is. Plus, how exactly would you describe this powerhouse entertainer? Her blindingly platinum blonde hair, those bling-ed out sunglasses, her lack of pants and one over-the-top get-up after another… one almost forgets that through all the crazy costumes, strange antics, make-out sessions with muppets and smoke and mirror filled performances, this girl can actually sing! Fantastical ensembles aside, Lady Gaga is known for pumping out one hot dance hit after another, making it impossible to not get up and bust a few moves to her beats. But let’s face it. She’s become a household name due to more than her songstress talents. Those crazy costumes and over-the-top outfits are what made us sit up and take notice. Some would say she’s the leader in avant-garde fashion, others find her amusing, while still more would claim that her fashion sense belongs in an asylum! What do you think? Vintage Fashionistas Cheer For Pink And Orange!

imageYou don’t need to be a genius to determine that I am not a big fan of pink, based on a quick peek into my closet. Or orange, for that matter. So it’s hard for me to explain why I squeal with delight when I see these two colors together. I guess sometimes what seems like two fashion wrongs can actually make a big fashion right! And lots of folks agree. Like Jonathan Adler, for instance, who believes there’s no better way to banish the blues than with this bright color combination. Or Alexander Girard and so many other designers in the 1960s who married these two tangy shades in home decor and advertising as well as in fashion.
