Gotta Getaway To Singapore’s Local Culture At The New Majestic

imageI love to plan imaginary trips to places I have never been before so while I was looking at places in Singapore, the New Majestic really caught my eye. The thirty room boutique hotel can be found in Singapore’s Chinatown in a lavish building originally built in 1928. Just a twenty minute drive from the airport and a short walk away from the nearest subway stop, the Majestic is easy to get to and around. The thirty rooms were each designed by local artists who embraced the historic traditions of Singapore while adding a modern spin. Rooms can range from traditional with red sheets, lanterns and drapes to totally whimsical such as the Aquarium Room where the bathroom walls are all glass which brings the term “living in a fishbowl” to life. Amenities include Bose stereos, plasma TVs, wifi, Ploh bedding, and toiletries by Kiehl’s. Dine at the Majestic’s restaurant which serves traditional Cantonese food with a twist, of course. Take a look at my slideshow to see more!
