Last year, the former industrial complex played host to 83 exhibitors and 26,000 guests as part of the event, and the 2020 iteration promises to include an even wider range of projects.

The exhibition is looking forward to including work from architects and craftspeople as well as designers.

Specifically, the organisers are looking for projects that put a focus on process – whether that’s multidisciplinary or architectural design methods, modern craft techniques or designs for a circular economic system.

Everyone from designers and studios, to institutions, academies, architects and labels are invited to submit their projects. The deadline is 17 November 2019.

Last year’s Ventura Future show highlighted a cast of projects making use of alternative materials, including mineral wallpaper created by London-based studio Custhom, tiles made from post-consumer plastic waste by designer Enis Akiev, as well as a series of sugar-based candleholders and clocks by Studio Ludovico.

The showcase is a place for emerging and established artists from all over the world to gain media and market exposure.

As Andrea Maestri, a designer and exhibitor at last year’s edition explains, it is “the perfect location where young designers can show their experimental projects and meet the best audience of international visitors [and] journalists.”

Apart from the Ventura Future series, Ventura Projects also hosts a number of other design exhibitions, with a focus on installations and interiors, as well as offshoots in London, Dubai, New York and beyond.

To apply visit the Ventura Projects website. The deadline is 17 November 2019.
